StreetSafe

I have previously shared StreetSafe with the residents of North Yorkshire and just wanted to remind you of how to access it. 

If you are unaware of StreetSafe, it is an anonymous reporting tool, which allows you to share your concerns with a multiple agency group, which includes Police, about areas where you feel unsafe or want to avoid for any reason.

Suspicious vehicle in village

A pale blue Ford Focus has been seen today in the village with 3 unknown occupants acting suspiciously, seemingly filming as they were driving through.  

If you see this vehicle, please note the registration if possible and report it to the Police via 101 or 999 immediately.  Please be vigilant with locking doors, windows, vehicles, outbuildings etc.

A new way to get in touch

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to contact the police, which is why a new app called #PoliceUK has been launched. This will allow you to report a range of services online in the same way you would as if you called 101.These include reporting anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, or road traffic incidents and many others and means you can do it whenever suits you without having to make a phone call.#PoliceUK is available via both the Google Play and iOS app stores. If it is an emergency, you should always call 999.

Traveller Camp Newsletter

PLANNING NOTICE NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (NYC)

Please see details of this planning application from 2022 which you will be familiar with. This relates to the illegal traveller site at Cornborough which has continued to be developed without planning permission and is seeking to be expanded to a puppy farm, as reported in the Sheriff Hutton News. It seems NYC have now decided to revisit this application following no decision back in 2022 and are seeking views again.
