St Leonard’s, Farlington

After what seems to have been a very long winter, we are pleased to announce that we are re-opening the door of St Leonard’s for public services.

The first service of 2021 will be on Palm Sunday (March 28th) at 11.15am and be led by the Churchwardens.

Our Easter Day celebration (Sunday, April 4th) at 11.15 and will be a service of Holy Communion and we hope you will be able to join us. Social distancing remains a requirement which places a restriction of the number we can get into church. Therefore, we need to know in advance if you are intending to attend – please ring Richard Haste on 878581 or email richardhaste@btinternet.com to reserve a place.

Other services in April

After Easter, we shall revert to our usual plan of services. In April these will be :

  • Sunday, April 11th : 11.15am : Shortened Matins (BCP)
  • Sunday, April 25th : 11.15am : Holy Communion (BCP)

Pre-booking for these services should not be necessary.

Because of the ongoing requirement for the church to be thoroughly cleaned after it has been open to the public, opening for private prayer will continue – for the time being – to be on Tuesdays and Saturdays only between 10.00am and 4.00pm

The Churchyard remains open at all times and is looking lovely with the spring flowers. Why not go there to enjoy the spring weather and have some ‘quiet time.’
