Village Hall – Hire

Farlington Village Hall

Farlington village hall sits opposite St Leonards Church on the village green.  It dates back to the 1800’s and was left to the village in perpetuity by the Methodist Church.  It was once the village school.

The hall became a registered charity in 1964 and has four Managing Trustees.  It has been sympathetically restored whist trying to retain some original features.  There is a small main hall with wood burner, tables and chairs and a well-stocked kitchen with microwave, coffee machine and fridge.

Although we do not have mains water, this is provided via water containers.  There is a portaloo for your convenience.

Events are held in the village hall throughout the year to include music nights, pop-up tea room, jumble sales and supper nights.  Upcoming events are advertised here on our website.

If you are interested in hiring the hall for an event or meeting, please email secretary@farlington.org.uk.  The price is £10 per hour.

Do You Have Difficulty Getting to St Leonard’s?

St Leonards mobility scooter

We are well aware that the length and steepness of the church path can make it very difficult for some people to get to services at St Leonard’s. Someone in Stillington has very kindly donated to the church a nearly-new, robust mobility scooter. This is now available for every Sunday service from about 20 minutes before the service is due to start.

Get to the church gate, or thereabouts, and the buggy will do the rest. A member of the church will be with you so you do not have to be an expert in using mobility scooters.
