We have recently seen a spike in rural crime in the Hambleton area particularly at the north of the county around Great Ayton and Stokesley.
Farming equipment, tools, machinery, off-road bikes, quad bikes and vehicles are being targeted. These have mainly been taken from outbuildings of farms and rural properties.
North Yorkshire Police will be conducting additional patrols in these areas but ask that residents remain vigilant ensuring their property is safe and secure.
