Poppies of Remembrance

In 2022 and 2023 Farlington residents rose to the occasion and knitted beautiful poppies to decorate the church gates in the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday. We still have those poppies and will putting them on the gates this November. But we still have lots of gate and railing space which could use more poppies. If you would like to knit one or more poppies they will be very gratefully received. I will collect them or you can leave them on the font, just inside the church door. If you need a knitting pattern, please let me know and I will get a copy to you.

With thanks,

Pop-up Tearoom – a Fantastic Result

You, the Farlington Community rallied round to support Your Church and what a wonderful result it was and how lovely it was to see so many people from the village. The Tearoom over the Bank Holiday weekend made a very rewarding profit of £934 and we sold 29 packs of the 2023 Christmas cards (in August!). We would like to thank everyone who made this achievement possible whether you baked fabulous cakes, ate fabulous cakes (or did both) as well as getting the hall dressed for the occasion and set-up and cleared away each day.

On behalf of St Leonard’s church, it is a big THANK YOU from us both
