Farlington is a small, picturesque farming village in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire.
The village has a 12th century church, St. Leonards, a good pub, the Blacksmith’s Arms, and has a small stream, Farlington Beck running through it.
Farlington is ideally situated for a walk in the Hambleton Hills, a visit to Castle Howard, a day out in the historic city of York, or the market town of Malton.
All North Yorkshire residents must now register to use the council’s household waste recycling centres.
From Monday 27 April 2026, you need to register to use the household waste recycling centres in North Yorkshire. All residents of North Yorkshire who pay Council Tax to North Yorkshire Council can register. The type of registration you need depends on the type of vehicle you use to visit the sites and how long you want to register for. There are also different rules for charities.
You can choose the type of registration you need when you apply.
